Three Singaporean actors from TCP Artists to be represented in the Philippines by Virtual Playground Global in new cross-border partnership

June 7, 2024 by TVA Editor

Singaporean talents may soon shine brightly abroad as three Singaporean actors are now represented in the Philippines by one of its largest talent management agencies.

Singaporean artistes Brian Ng, Raynold Tan and David Matthew, who are signed under TCP Media Group in Singapore, will be expanding their horizons to the Philippines under Virtual Playground Global, a talent management agency which represents some of the biggest stars and athletes in the Philippines.

This is part of a partnership between TCP Media Group and Virtual Playground Global, which will also see five Filipino artistes, Rob Gomez, Sarah Edwards, Christiana Zaleta Dimaunahan, Mika Reins and Dylan Yturralde, be represented in Singapore by TCP Media Group.

Through this partnership, fans can look forward to co-production collaborations between the Singaporean and Filipino stars on both mainstream and digital productions. Fans can also expect to see meet-and-greet sessions held in both countries for the involved artistes.

“TCP Artistes started as a passion project in 2006, and has since become Singapore’s fastest growing talent agency that aims to help talents achieve their full potential. We are buzzing with excitement as we now embark on this ground-breaking collaboration with Virtual Playground Global,” said Sean Kevin, CEO & Founder of TCP Artistes (TCPMG Pte Ltd).

“With Singapore’s reputation as a hub for creativity and innovation, and the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage and vibrant entertainment scene, this cross-border artiste management venture promises to be a dynamic fusion of talents and ideas, fuelled by a shared passion for nurturing talent and creating unforgettable experiences for audiences.”

“As we stand at this pivotal moment in our company’s history, VP Global’s promise remains steadfast – to guide our talents towards the global stage and beyond. We are poised to explore new horizons, forge new partnerships and elevate our talents to unprecedented heights globally,” said Charlie Dy, CEO, VP Global Athlete and Artist Management.

“Together with TCP Artistes of Singapore, we will embark on the next chapter of excellence, unity and triumph. With the continued support of our fans and our unwavering dedication, the future holds limitless possibilities.”

Despite his young age, Brian Ng is already a veteran actor, having begun his career as a child actor in Singapore. Most recently, he was nominated for Best Actor at the New York Festivals TV and Film Awards 2023 for his role in Singapore series Third Rail, which is also currently airing in the Philippines. He has also been nominated for the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste award at Mediacorp’s Star Awards 2024.

Raynold Tan is no stranger to the Philippines, having played a starring role in Filipino BL web series The Day I Loved You alongside Filipino actor Tommy Alejandrino. He is also the first Singaporean actor to star in a BL series, and the first Singaporean actor to be featured in an interview with USA’s Teen Vogue. Widely popular among fashion and beauty brands, Raynold most recently represented Samsung Singapore to participate in a fashion walk in Seoul.

David Matthew is a rising actor in Singapore, with an ongoing role in Singapore’s longform series Sunny Side Up. He is also a popular influencer in Singapore, with over 100,000 followers on his social media platforms.
