Legendary Poirot actor Sir David Suchet CBE to follow Dame Agatha Christie’s footsteps on world tour

Soho Studios and Two Rivers Media to produce 5 x 1 hour documentary series TRAVELS WITH AGATHA with Sir David Suchet.   Channel 4 in the UK, BritBox in North America and the Nordics and SBS in Australia have acquired the series through these deals brokered by Abacus Media Rights who are also handling distribution for rest of world.
In the 1920s Agatha Christie embarked on an expedition spanning Canada, Hawaii, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. Each episode of TRAVELS WITH AGATHA with Sir David Suchet features one of these five countries, as David Suchet, who played Poirot for 13 seasons in ITV’s globally successful drama adaptation, replicates Christie’s journey.   Filming for this high-end documentary will commence in Summer 2024, to be delivered at the end of the year.
Widely regarded as one of England’s finest stage, screen and TV actors, Sir David Suchet’s international reputation has only grown over the years, greatly enhanced by his definitive interpretation of Agatha Christie’s Belgian super-sleuth Hercule Poirot, a character he played for nearly 25 years. Agatha Christie remains the best-selling fiction writer of all time with her books selling more than two billion copies worldwide. She is also the most translated writer in history, her novel ‘And Then There Were None’ is the best-selling mystery book ever.  The stage adaptation of ‘The Mousetrap’ is the world’s longest-running play.
