This April,  some of the biggest GenZ Thai stars to shine on the iQIYI global platform as the Asian streaming leader doubles down on its commitment to promoting pan-Asian talents on the international scene.

iQIYI announced that “Nonkul” Chanon Santinatornkul will join Oh No! Here Comes Trouble as one of its main cast. While Nonkul’s role in Oh No! Here Comes Trouble has not yet been revealed, his participation is highly anticipated as the actor’s character was specially written to suit him, and will be a part of the show’s climax.

Speaking of working with iQIYI in his first Chinese-speaking role, “Nonkul” Chanon Santinatornkul shared: “I am excited and grateful to join Oh No! Here Comes Trouble, working with a top-notch international crew. In the story, my main scenes involve an older brother who sacrifices for his younger brother. It deeply resonates with me because it reflects the unconditional love and relationship between me and my siblings in real life. Everyone would do the same if a similar situation happens in real life. I love that the role adds the right amount of depth into a fantasy comedy. I hope fans from every corner of the world will enjoy it. Once again, thank you iQIYI for having me and hope we will have a chance to work together soon!”

Oh No! Here Comes Trouble is set to premiere globally on iQIYI from April 15. The show stars Tseng Jinghua (Danger Zone, Your Name Engraved Herein), Vivian Sung (Our Times, Until We Meet Again), Peng Cianyou (Nowhere Man) and “Nonkul” Chanon Santinatornkul (Bad Genius, Love Destiny The Movie). It follows the story of delinquent Pu Yiyong who gains superpowers after an accident, and ends up forming an obsession-fighting squad to help their ‘clients’ to finish the unsolved issues.

Following the success of the wildly popular KinnPorsche in 2022, iQIYI and Be On Cloud are reuniting once again to scout the next superstars from Thailand from its first Thai language talent competition show, The Hidden Character: Unmasked, for the global fans!

In The Hidden Character: Unmasked, 11 fresh faces aged between age 16 to 22 selected for their different personalities will live under the same roof and engage in a series of talent challenges. The lead cast of KinnPorsche will also be participating in the show as seniors to provide guidance to the contestants. Among the contestants, one will emerge victorious and win a chance to be part of the next big iQIYI and Be On Cloud collaborative production.

Earlier in January, the show’s trailer attracted over a million views within a day of its release, signifying the anticipation and excitement of audiences for this new production.

The previous collaboration between the two companies, KinnPorsche: The Series La Forte, achieved stellar results since its premiere, rising to the top of viewership charts across multiple regions with an IMDB rating of 9.1, and propelling its main stars Apo and Mile to fame. The cast even went on a world tour across cities such as Singapore, Seoul, Manila, Taipei and Hong Kong to reach their fans all over the world.

The 11-episode reality show is set to premiere in April 2023, and will be available to global audiences on iQIYI’s international platform (www.iq.com & apps).
