Abacus Media Rights (AMR), an Amcomri Entertainment Company, is to distribute You First Originals’ Spanish language docuseries Alexia: Labor Omnia Vincit celebrating the rise of Alexia Putellas, who was just named FIFA’s Women’s Player of the Year in February 2023 for the second consecutive year. 

First licensed by Prime Video Alexia, Labor Omnia Vincit (3 x 45’), is an immersion into Alexia Putellas’ personal journey during the year that completely changed her life. The series chronicles the transformation of a football player into a global icon who has shaped the future of her sport and the history of women in sport. Her dedication to the sport has revolutionised the women’s game. 

FC Barcelona’s captain, Alexia Putellas, has won a raft of prestigious individual awards including the Ballon d’Or Feminin, the first and only player to win the award twice and in consecutive years, in addition to The Best FIFA Women’s Player, Golden Player Woman Award, UEFA Women’s Player of the Year, IFFHS Women’s Player of the Year and World Soccer Women’s World Player of the Year. 

Abacus Media Rights has secured worldwide distribution rights to Alexia, Labor Omnia Vincit, (excluding USA, Latin America, Spain, Portugal and Andorra), filmed with English sub-titles.

Alexia: Labor Omnia Vincit features candid footage of the player preparing for matches, training at the football ground and getting ready for the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris, and features Alexia’s mother, Eli Segura, who talks about how her family made many sacrifices to find a girls’ team for her, Sabadell, a city in the province of Barcelona, a commute that her parents had to fit in around their work for the then eight-year-old rising football star.
