Bomanbridge Media, representing Magnify Media formats in Asia, has sold the local adaption rights for cooking competition, Fridge Wars, to Mongolian television broadcaster NTV. The Canadian format originally debuted on Canadian pubcaster, CBC in 2020.
Co-created and co-produced by The Gurin Company and CBC, the original Fridge Wars pits two celebrity chefs against one another with a challenge to create extraordinary meals using only the ingredients taken from the ordinary fridges of typical families. The improvised dinners must win over two families that act as judges to determine which chef wins each epic battle. The Mongolian adaptation, which premiered on the 25th of September 2022 and airs weekly, will be 14×45’ and feature 28 families.
