Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE), operator of the largest bouquet of pan-Asian channels dedicated to Asian entertainment, announced today its second Thrill original production, 3AM, in another collaboration with famous Malaysian director Adrian Teh of PASKAL, for the Halloween month of October. The 5-part anthology horror series will premiere worldwide and exclusively on Thrill, Asia’s first regional horror, thriller and suspense movie channel, every Monday at 2100 HKT from 3rd October 2022.

“This is our second collaboration with Adrian Teh of Act 2 Pictures in Malaysia, and we are pleased to see it grow into a bigger project involving a bigger cast and crew,” said Ofanny Choi, CEO of Celestial Tiger Entertainment. “3AM marries the Asian horror tradition of revenge and retribution with stories, characters and settings that are close to our daily lives, and are hence more relatable to our horror fans across Asia. As we continue to push the envelope with exploration of darker themes on Thrill, we remain committed to developing and producing more original content for our Asian viewers on other channels such as Celestial Movies, KIX and Miao Mi.”

“We are thrilled to be working again with Celestial Tiger Entertainment on this new project for Thrill with 3AM. Apart from horror, we have also tried to incorporate elements of suspense, supernatural, emotional conflict and social events into the series, as we hope to bring richer stories to the audience.” said Adrian Teh, Executive Producer of 3AM. “I am also very happy to be working with many outstanding new and experienced actors in this series, and I look forward to seeing their chemistry on screen.”

3AM is a 5-part anthology horror series consisting of five different stories, with common themes of vengefulness and karmic retribution happening at 3:00 am. Among them are stories of a woman out to seek revenge for her spouse’s cheating; a newcomer at work who offends the ghosts in his office building; a girl who kills innocents for her revenge plan; a group of friends with complicated relationships on a camping trip; and a man who judges others by his own standards. These stories will leave viewers pondering if the vengeance should be blamed on evil spirits or the characters’ own aberrant psychology. One thing for sure though, time will serve what you deserve…

The series features prominent stars from Malaysia, including Coby Chong (award-winning drama actor; A Promise to Love, Shimmering Happiness), Fabian Loo (movie actor-model; PASKAL The Movie) and Ruby Yap (award-winning actress & singer; Think Big Big). It is directed by three of Malaysia’s up-and-coming directors – Heng Aik Siong, Ang Yee Sien and Yong Choon Lin.

Apart from premiering on Thrill in Asia, 3AM shall also premiere on KIX in Africa via the various Pay TV platforms and online streaming service, Showmax, in early 2023. The series will also be available on Thrill’s selected partner streaming platforms in Southeast Asia. In South Korea, 3AM will air on various platforms through an exclusive distribution deal with LYD.
