BBC Studios announced that it will launch linear channels BBC Earth and BBC Lifestyle together with on-demand channels BBC First and BBC Brit on Astro, Malaysia’s leading content and entertainment company. BBC Earth and BBC Lifestyle will be available on the Astro platform from 15 September while BBC First and BBC Brit will be available from 15 October. This launch marks an expanded partnership between BBC Studios and Astro. 

BBC Earth is BBC Studios’ global factual brand that seeks to inspire audiences by sharing the incredible wonders of our universe.  The channel showcases the work of the world’s foremost factual filmmakers across natural history and science. It hosts celebrated landmark natural history series Primates, Dynasties, Seven Worlds, One Planet, A Perfect Planet and the upcoming series, Eden: Untamed Planet.

BBC Lifestyle is the unique entertainment destination brimming with vibrant, fresh and exciting programmes which set trends and guide you into transforming your world; from revamping your home to invigorating your culinary skills and helping you to become happier and get the best out of life. The channel is home to Gordon Ramsay’s latest series Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back, Nigella Lawson’s Nigella’s Cook, Eat, Repeat, Jamie Oliver’s Jamie’s Easy Meals For Every Day, Grand Designs, The Great British Bake Off and The Graham Norton Show. 

BBC First is the home of premium, original British drama featuring outstanding titles that include Killing Eve, Luther, Small Axe and Doctor Foster. With a strong array of award-winning titles and talent, BBC First celebrates humanity in all its fascinating complexity, connecting audiences around the world who are hungry for stories to challenge, immerse and entertain them. 

BBC Brit brings you entertainment that is intelligent yet irreverent, factual yet fun, with experts and quirky eccentrics. It is the home of Top Gear and covers a rich variety of fan favourites such as Mr Bean and Inside No.9.
