SINGAPORE/MALE – Rewind Networks and Dhiraagu have launched HITS (Channel 51) in the Maldives on Dhiraagu TV. The channel, broadcast in HD, is part of Dhiraagu TV’s basic-tier Intro Pack.
“The launch of HITS in its 9th market in Asia is a testament to the region’s strong demand for a highly compelling, well curated entertainment destination,” said Mr Avi Himatsinghani, CEO of Rewind Networks.
As HITS continues its rapid expansion across Asia, subscribers will be able to enjoy the channel’s wholesome selection of action, drama, comedy and family series from Hollywood.
Among the new series, viewers in the Maldives can look forward to include Little House on the Prairie, a heart-warming family drama that was one of the most highly requested shows by viewers across the region on HITS’ Facebook page. Other exciting highlights include some of the greatest TV shows of all time, from high-octane, action-packed drama such as Magnum, P.I. and Knight Rider to award-winning family comedies like The Golden Girls and The Nanny.
Also on the channel is weekend movie block HITS MOVIES Presents, which features timeless film hits from the 60s to the 90s such as A Bridge Too Far, Pet Sematary and Grease.
This programming strategy brings well-loved characters and timeless stories to a new generation of TV viewers while breathing new life into iconic shows.
