Producer and distributor Prime Entertainment Group has announced the signature of a major deal for its World War II series Einsatzgruppen: The Nazi Death Squads with Italy’s RAI TV.
Radiotelevisione Italiana (RAI) TV is the national public broadcasting company of Italy, owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. It is the biggest television broadcaster in Italy with a relatively high television audience share of 33.8%.
Owning around 27 television stations, the broadcasting network acquired the series to be aired on the slot La Grande Storia on the RAI 3 channel this spring.
The acclaimed series Einsatzgruppen: The Nazi Death Squads, reveals the “Holocaust by bullets” — a rarely known mass massacre that took place at the start of WWII, where nearly two million men, women and children were shot to death by Einsatzgruppen firing squads in Eastern Europe and the Baltics.
“We are really proud to distribute this very unique program. Einstazgruppen – The Nazi Death Squads, is a very strong miniseries. Broadcasters worldwide are acquiring the show, and it is a great satisfaction to have RAI airing it in Italy,” said Prime Entertainment Group Managing Director David Freydt.
The series Einsatzgruppen has successfully aired on such acclaimed channels as France 2 in France, Discovery, Polsat in Poland, Société Radio Canada, Netflix and PBS America.
