QUEZON CITY – GMA Network has partnered with MP Promotions to distribute free and pay TV rights to Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao’s much anticipated return to the boxing ring.

Dubbed as the “Fight of Champions”, Pacquiao will challenge Argentinian Lucas Matthysse for the World Boxing Association’s welterweight championship in the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 15.

GMA will be distributing the live broadcast feed of “Fight of Champions” for free and pay TV in select territories. The match has attracted the attention of boxing fans around the world, many calling it the “World Cup of Boxing”.

Also among the championship bouts presented by MP Promotions in “Fight of the Champions” is the fight between Jhack Tepora of the Philippines and Edivaldo Ortega of Mexico, as the main supporting match for the World Boxing Association featherweight crown.

Also part of the fight card is the WBA light-flyweight title match between Carlos Canizales of Venezuela and Lu Bin of China, and South African Moruti Mthalane versus Muhammad Waseem of Pakistan for the International Boxing Federation flyweight crown.

Host country Malaysia will showcase its best fighters including Muhammad Farkhan, Theena Thayalan, and Alman Abu Baker against counterparts from Thailand and India. The undercards will also have fighters representing Australia and Japan.
