Singapore – HBO Asia’s first Mandarin Original series, The Teenage Psyhic (通靈少女), received 2 wins at the 52nd Annual Golden Bell Awards that was held in Taiwan. The six hour-long-episode coming-of-age series has won in the Best Mini-Series (TV Movie) and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Mini-Series (TV Movie) categories.
Mr. Jonathan Spink, CEO of HBO Asia, says, “We are delighted that our HBO Asia Original series THE TEENAGE PSYCHIC (通靈少女) has received this prestigious recognition at the Golden Bell Awards. The Teenage Psychic (通靈少女) premiered in April this year and received positive ratings throughout its broadcast. Shot on location in Taiwan, the series was directed by29-year-old rising Taiwanese writer-director, Chen Ho-Yu (陳和榆). The series was also jointly developed with Taiwanese broadcaster, Public Television Service (PTS) and award-winning Singaporean production company, InFocus Asia.
