New York – A+E Networks has appointed Francisco Guijon as Senior Vice President, Americas. Guijon’s appointment was announced by Edward Sabin, Executive Managing Director, International, A+E Networks, to whom he will report.
Based in Miami, Guijon will be responsible for managing the profitability and expansion of A+E’s high-growth channels and media assets in Latin America and Canada, including the day-to-day relationships with the company’s partners and businesses in the region. Guijon will also draw on his unique experience to focus on expanding and executing on A+E’s digital strategy, a primary focus for further growth in the region. Guijon will also partner with A+E’s NY-based digital team and international leaders to help inform digital strategy in other regions.

Guijon joins A+E Networks from Liberty Global – VTR Chile, where he served as Programming, Content & Ad Sales Director. At Liberty Global, Guijon lead the company’s content strategy restructuring, which included launching the first FVOD service in LATAM exceeding 10,000 assets and creating the first channel worldwide to broadcast Lollapalooza to pay TV subscribers. He joined Liberty Global in 2008 in the advertising sales department was promoted to his current position in 2013. Prior to Liberty Global, he was Marketing Manager at Danone Chile. He began his career in marketing at Bayer S.A. in Chile where he played a key role in the merging of Roche and Bayer OTC businesses.
