Many Singaporeans, including myself, grew up feasting on TVB dramas. To this day, classic drama theme songs continue to evoke heartfelt memories for us. It is thus very apt that we have created a special 25th Anniversary award which will be presented to the drama series which has had the biggest cultural impact here,” said Ms Jeannie Ong, Chief Strategic Partnership Officer of StarHub. “On behalf of StarHub, I would like to congratulate and thank TVB for entertaining audiences all over the world for half a century. On our 25th partnership anniversary and TVB’s 50th Birthday, the biggest winners are our customers! They can look forward to a memorable night of glitz, glamour and excitement at the StarHub TVB Awards 2017 on 21 October.”
Mr Mark Lee, Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of TVB, said, “It takes a lot of hard work and commitment to maintain a partnership for 25 years and we are glad to have a strong partner in StarHub, who shares the same dedication to bringing high quality programmes to audiences. With this year being our 50th anniversary, we are especially looking forward to celebrating this milestone with our viewers in Singapore.”
