Blue Ant enters The Kids Category

September 27, 2017 by TVA Editor

Toronto – Blue Ant International, a division of Blue Ant Media and leaders in global content distribution, announced that it has expanded its distribution business with a new premium kids offering for international buyers. Working with Blue Ant Media’s recently acquired global production businesses, NHNZ, Northern Pictures and Beach House Pictures, the distributor will add over 200 hours of content created for the preschool market and kids ages 6-11 to its offering, all available at MIPJunior 2017.

“MipJunior marks the launch of our new kids & family offering. We tip our hats to our premium production partners such as NHNZ, Beach House Pictures, Northern Pictures who have created strong and compelling stories to engage children of all ages,” said Solange Attwood, SVP, Blue Ant International. “Blue Ant International is honoured to join the kids community and our team is looking forward to representing titles such as Teddies (45×30’HD) and ZooMoo’s Wild Friends (180×30’HD) to buyers across all platforms worldwide.”

New kids slate which are available at MIPJunior are as follows. Teddies (45×30’HD), produced by Beach House Pictures and Northern Pictures for Okto and Channel 9, stars four teddy bear friends – Dom, Meeks, Sparky and Tizzy – who live in the wonderful world of Teddytown. Like kids, these bear friends are learning what it’s like to grow up; making friends, being kind to others, helping out, making mistakes and respecting and appreciating others. Aimed at the preschool market, this entertaining and endearing series also assists children in their development of social and emotional skills.

ZooMoo’s Wild Friends (180×30’HD; NHNZ for ZooMoo), introduces two to seven-year-olds—and their parents—to the natural world using puppetry, animation and wildlife footage designed to inspire a love of animals and nature. From engaging segments such as Gigglebox, where the animals will make you laugh, to Storytime, where Mamma O’ tells magical animal tales from around the world, each series within ZooMoo’s Wild Friends reinforces learning through association and repetition and encourages open-ended thinking and creativity.

Creature Mania! (65×30’HD; Northern Pictures for ZooMoo) is an action-packed half hour show made up of ten short, pacy segments that keep young viewers engaged and interested in all the crazy creatures we have to explore. From archive footage to energetic host Alfie engaging with kids and pets in the studio, Creature Mania! is a colourful, varied and utterly hilarious show for all the animal lovers out there – leaving nothing and no one behind.

In addition, Most Extreme – Alien Planet Earth (65×30’HD; Northern Pictures for ZooMoo) showcases sequences of extreme animal and human behaviour, linked by a presenter in the character role of an alien explorer. Each episode examines a distinct animal behaviour as we count down the most extreme speedsters to the most extreme stinkers
