ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) has renewed its agreement with Japanese satellite broadcaster Imagica TV, for the Imagica BS channel to continue to air the ITV-branded programming slot, ITV Collection.
In addition, as part of the extended multi-year deal which was originally announced in 2014, Imagica TV will also get first option to acquire the rights to new ITVS GE distributed dramas.
ITV Collection airs on Imagica BS on Monday to Thursday at 1pm and then again at 7pm, and showcases recently produced ITVS GE content including Dr Blake Mysteries, Endeavour, Poldark, Mr Selfridge and Jordskott, as well as classic ITV shows such as Poirot, Sherlock Holmes and Prime Suspect.
Augustus Dulgaro, EVP, Asia Pacific for ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said, “Imagica BS is already recognised as the home of some of the best ITVS GE content in Japan and so we are delighted that Japanese audiences will be able to continue watching their favourite shows, from classic titles to the more recent hits, through the channel’s ITV Collection slot.” The deal was brokered by Carla Ferry, VP Sales, Pacific Rim at ITVS GE and Intervision, ITVS GE’s TV sales agent in Japan.
