London – UK based Woodcut Media has secured the services of former Discovery Networks producer, Adam Jacobs as Executive Producer, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Kate Beal, CEO, Woodcut Media.
Based in London, Adam will work on the company’s development slate and commissioned projects currently in production, alongside Kate Beal and Creative Director, Derren Lawford. He will also play a key role in the development of Woodcut’s male skewed factual slate over the coming months.
Jacobs joins Woodcut Media from Discovery Networks International, where he was Executive Producer, Production & Development (Factual). Prior to this he was Director, Factual Programming, UK & Western Europe for Discovery Communications. His tenure at Discovery spanned approximately10 years, having originally joined the Discovery operation as Programming Co-Ordinator in 2006.
Having worked specifically on non-scripted and scripted programming for major international television broadcasters, over the years Jacobs has executive produced high-quality shows for both UK and international markets including The Somme: The First 24 Hours with Tony Robinson, The Great Shark Chase with Monty Halls and British Treasure American Gold with Jesse McClure, as well as acquiring award-winning third party titles such as Top Gear, Ross Kemp On Gangs, Dynamo Magician Impossible, Outback Truckers and Cars That Rock with Brian Johnson.
