A Whole New Beginning, Talpa’s new reality format, has secured fantastic ratings since its launch early January on RTL4 in the Netherlands. In comparison to the channel average in the target audience (20-49), last night’s episode even had a +50% increase in market share.
Says Maarten Meijs, Managing Director of Talpa Global said, “The thrilling reality of seeing families embark on a new adventure abroad appeals to a wide variety of viewers. Who hasn’t thought about having a fresh start at some point? We’re very excited with A Whole New Beginning’s success thus far and are looking forward to officially launching the format at MIPTV this year.”
What if you could press the reset button and start over? Leave all your troubles and worries behind? In A Whole New Beginning, three families have a chance to build a new life and a new future in a remote, tropical place on the other side of the world… from scratch! Selling everything they own and freezing their assets for a full year, they’re ready to start a new life. Will they find happiness, peace and harmony? After one year, they’ll have to make the most important decision ever… will they go back to their old life, or will they stay?
