Fox Networks acquires BULL

November 21, 2016 by TVA Editor

London/Amsterdam – Fox Networks Group (FNG) Europe and Africa has announced a multi-season licensing agreement with CBS Studios International for the UK exclusive first-window rights to CBS’s new break out hit BULL. Launching on FOX UK in the New Year, this deal builds on FNG UK’s successful portfolio of CBS programming, including NCIS, and follows the acquisition of BULL for other FNG markets including Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Sweden.

Toby Etheridge, Head of Programming FNG UK, said: “FOX UK is committed to bringing our viewers the best, first, so we’re thrilled to be able to premiere smash-hit U.S. drama BULL in the UK. British fans of Michael Weatherly will love this slick new legal series, which is both thought-provoking and entertaining, and we’re pleased to add BULL to our powerful new schedule for FOX, which includes first run NCIS, American Horror Story, Legion and the global phenomenon, The Walking Dead.”

BULL, the #1 new programme of the season in the U.S., is averaging 16.89 million viewers, 2.5/08 in adults 18-49 and 3.7/10 in adults 25-54. With live + 7-day lift, BULL’s premiere delivered 20.5 million viewers. BULL is the #2 broadcast dramas (behind NCIS). BULL is produced by CBS Television Studios and distributed internationally by CBS Studios International with Mark Goffman, Paul Attanasio, Dr. Phil McGraw, Steven Spielberg, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Jay McGraw and Rodrigo Garcia (pilot only) serving as executive producers.

Fox Networks Group in the UK operates four distinct channel brands including Pay TV channels FOX, National Geographic, NatGeo Wild and the DTT channel, Your TV. FNG Europe & Africa operates 151 channels, from 28 offices, broadcasting in 52 countries. Through genre defining channel brands FOX, FOX Sports and National Geographic, FNG Europe & Africa is watched by over 250 million viewers, 40% of the population, in 150 million households making it the pan-regional leader for entertainment, factual and sports programming.
