New York – On the heels of the recent success of the Emmy Award -nominated Roots, A+E Networks is taking the new military action drama SIX to MIPCOM armed with a cadre of initial sales to top broadcasters in 50+ territories around the world, it was announced by Joel Denton, Managing Director, International Content Sales & Partnerships. Developed by HISTORY, SIX is created by Oscar nominee William Broyles and David Broyles. SIX is an A+E Studios production in association with The Weinstein Company.
HISTORY will launch SIX with a world premiere in the U.S. in 2017. The first broadcasters to sign up for the eight-part series include HBO Europe (Central and Eastern Europe), HBO Nordics, HBO Spain, iFlix (Southeast Asia), History Southeast Asia, History Latin America, and History Canada.

Written by Academy Award Nominee William Broyles and David Broyles, a military special operations veteran, SIX stars Walton Goggins, Barry Sloane, Kyle Schmid, Juan Pablo Raba , Edwin Hodge, Brianne Davis, Nadine Velazquez and Dominic Adams. This new series is inspired by the real missions of Navy SEAL Team Six, the unit best known for killing Osama Bin Laden. With a former Special Operations team member ensuring authenticity while preserving the secrecy of classified missions, SIX depicts the emotional truths of what it means to be in SEAL Team Six, their complex personal lives and the life and death decisions that protect the world.
SIX is executive produced by William Broyles, Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Lesli Linka Glatter, Alfredo Barrios, George W. Perkins and Bruce C. McKenna. David Broyles is a co-executive producer. Karen Campbell serves as supervising producer and joins McKenna, Barrios, and William and David Broyles in writing the episodes. Retired U.S. Navy SEAL Mitchell Hall serves as the series’ technical advisor. CNN’s national security analyst Peter Bergen serves as the series’ terrorism consultant. The first two episodes of SIX are directed by Academy Award, Emmy nominated and DGA Award winning Lesli Linka Glatter.
