With less than 30 days to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games opening ceremony, Globo is ready to deliver the most comprehensive sports coverage in its entire history. In addition to airing approximately 10 hours of daily Olympic content, the TV network will offer an exclusive and complementary second channel on Globo Play, its video on-demand platform, also on Globoesporte.com, Globo’s online sports portal. With open access provided free-of-charge to users throughout Brazil, the ‘Play nos Jogos’ will complement Globo’s broadcast TV coverage.
This is the year when South America will hold its first Olympic Games. This is the year when Brazil will bask in the global spotlight. More than 10,000 athletes from 206 countries will be pursuing the same goal: winning in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Starting on August 5th, these athletes will try to write their own stories, break records and overcome their own limits.
