Singapore– Making TV history as the region’s first ever crowd-funded TV travelogue, Secrets to Happiness provides a rare insight into the everyday lives of the people of the world’s happiest country, Bhutan. This travelogue has been picked up by an international channel in December 2016, and broadcast rights for the two-part 30 minute programme are currently being negotiated.
Hosted by philanthropist, writer-entrepreneur and intrepid traveller Dr. Loretta Chen, this travelogue promises to take audiences off the beaten track and into the very heart and soul of Bhutan. The 39-year-old Singaporean goes on a mission to uncover the secrets of Bhutan’s national happiness, mountainous country, and unique way of living. She will trek to the remotest parts of the Kingdom to discover how it balances modernity and tradition in the wake of evolving socio-economic change.
