A+E shines for racial issues
Singapore– A+E Networks’ Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America will air internationally from 21 November to 15 December on Lifetime and A&E Network, across 135+ territories. The concert will be recorded at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on 18 November, kicking off A+E Networks’ worldwide campaign to confront racial issues and promote unity and progress on racial equity.
Star Trek treks to TV screens
Studio City, California, and New York, NY– CBS Television Studios announced it will launch a new Star Trek television series in January 2017. The series will blast off with a special preview broadcast on the CBS Television Network, before being available exclusively in the U.S. on CBS All Access. Star Trek will also be distributed concurrently for television and multiple platforms around the world by CBS.
Africa hits the right note
The Voice has risen to the number one position on DStv in Angola, marking the beginning of a successful launch of the Talpa format in Africa. The format has been sold to various African countries, including Cameroon, Angola and Ivory Coast, with South Africa preparing to launch The Voice in the near future.
False Flag record-breaking launch
False Flag premiered on Keshet, breaking drama records. The two episodes aired back to back, garnering shares of 43.9% and 44.9%, and ratings of 30% and 28.9%, respectively. The show had out-performed its lead by 26%, reigning as the highest rated launch of a scripted show in first prime, and was the most-watched programme in Israel of the evening and the entire week.
