According to recent data from Kantar Media, ABS-CBN remains to be the most watched TV network in the country among urban and rural homes, with an average national audience share of 42% vs. rival network GMA’s 38% (combined last October).
On primetime, ABS-CBN hit 50% average audience share nationwide, translating into a 19 point lead over GMA 7’s 31%. FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano led the most-watched programs in the country, with an average national TV rating of 39.4%, followed by Pangako Sa’Yo (33.4%) and ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol (32%).
Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population. Overall, ABS-CBN swept nine out of the top ten programs nationwide and more online and smartphone users are watching ABS-CBN programs online via iWanTV as well.
