Santa Monica, CA – Ovation TV, America’s only arts network, has promoted Lori Hall to Vice President, Program Planning, Scheduling and Acquisitions. Hall, who has headed program scheduling for the network since joining the company in 2011, adds programme acquisitions to her responsibilities with this promotion. She will continue to report to Scott Woodward, EVP, Programming and Productions, Ovation TV.
“Lori is an invaluable member of our programming team and has been responsible for helping the network achieve significant ratings increases year over year,” said Woodward. “During her tenure with the company, she has developed a keen sense of what our viewers want so expanding her remit to include acquisitions was a natural progression for her and the network.”
In 2013, Hall was promoted to Vice President of Program Scheduling. She is responsible for having created branded “destination nights,” which include the network’s “Morning Canvas” and “Ovation Spotlight” blocks that showcase performing arts and arts documentaries. With her promotion, Hall takes on acquisitions for the network and will be attending Mipcom looking for U.S. premiere scripted and unscripted series, movies and documentaries.
“I’m very excited to be taking on Ovation’s acquisition responsibilities at this time in its evolution,” said Hall. “The network is truly becoming a multi-platform media company and licensing content for those platforms is a big priority for us. I’m looking forward to attending markets like Mipcom where I have the opportunity to talk with content creators and distributors of all sizes who may have properties available to suit our brand, as well as our linear and digital needs.”
