Singapore – For the first time ever, top Korean artists will tour Asia to pay surprise visits to selected schools. Korean entertainment guru M’s Asian channel, channel M, is producing a unique global production named School’s OUT– a reality programme that showcases Asian teenagers’ immense interest in K-pop activities outside of Korea. The first artist appointed for this show is Gary Kang, who has gained huge popularity in Asia with famous variety show, Running Man.
Unlike other K-pop content that is locally produced in Korea, School’s OUT, will document Gary’s surprise school visits in Asia, giving unsuspecting students a day to remember – a unique experience that would stand out from their everyday school routine. Only one school from each region will have this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet and interact with Gary. His tours to the chosen schools as well as his preparation behind the scenes will be featured in the programme, in the hopes of sharing this experience with young K-pop fans all over Asia.
Gary Kang is a multi-talented Korean star rapper, songwriter, record producer, dancer, entrepreneur, and television personality. He is also the rapper and lyricist of the respected hip-hop duo, Leessang. Since their formation in 2002, Leessang has had several hits under their belt and won numerous music awards including “Best Rap Performance” in Mnet Asian Music Awards 2011. In 2014, Gary made his debut as a solo artist with the mini-album, Mr.Gae, which comprises multiple chart-topping hits in Korea.
