According to Jung, the company is already communicating with several media organisations on coproduction, distribution, acquisition and marketing their entertainment business. iHQ expertise also lies in talent grooming to nurture young people which will be further developed to scout for new faces across Southeast Asia. iHQ, better known as Korea’s largest star management agency with 15 years of history, holds an impressive portfolio of more than 50 entertainment artists including A-listers such as Jang Hyuk and Kim Woo-Bin.
iHQ’s Director for global content business, Cassie Yoo said that the company now has a notable roster of K-pop talent that has been further strengthened through its alliance with top record label Cube Entertainment.
Cassie also explained that iHQ produces webdrama as there has been a surge for digital content exclusively. The shorter production process as well as lower development cost as allowed the company to complete as much as 5 webdrama this year. On top of that, iHQ also produces a voluminous archive of hit dramas and television programmes from its production arm. Some notable works include Deep Rooted Tree (2011), The Innocent Man (2012), and more recently, Pinocchio (2014). Its Shadowless Sword was previously sold to more than 25 territories including Germany to Splendid Films, France to CTV International, Italy to Eagle Pictures, and Indonesia to Queen Films.
