Hong Kong – Set to run till 6 April with 260 titles from 56 countries and regions, the 39th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre with the world premiere of Murmur of the Hearts. Directed by renowned director and actress Sylvia Chang, Murmur of the Hearts stars Isabella Leung, Joseph Chang, Lawrence Ko and Lee Sinje. Director Sylvia Chang dug deep into her Taiwanese roots to tell a story about growing up and letting go, after years of absence from the helm.
Directors and star-studded cast of opening film were all present to kick off the 15-day festival.
Dr. Wilfred Wong, SBS, JP, Chairman of the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS), attended the event with officiating guest Gregory So, GBS, JP, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development.

The 39th HKIFF will be held from 23 March to 6 April, with 260 titles from 56 countries and regions, 76 of which are world, international or Asian premieres.
