Singapore – Emmy Award winning international production company activeTV is headed to Myanmar to address the first Broadcast Technology Conference.
Hosted by professional video and audio systems integration firm Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS), the conference programme includes panel discussions on market challenges, viewer expectations, facility design, and more.
Held from 17 to 18 March at Parkview Hotel in Yangon, organisers have announced that activeTV will lead a session at the 2-day market on “How To Produce Content Viewers Want To Watch”.
activeTV President Michael McKay said his company is approaching the conference with a lot of enthusiasm. “Myanmar is a really interesting emerging TV market and one we are keeping a very close eye on”.
Sessions hosted by manufacturers will discuss infrastructure, graphics, cameras, LED lighting, workflows, and more. Participating companies include Canara, Harmonic, Ikegami, Riedel, Thomson Broadcast, Playbox, Tektronix, and Vizrt.
“Myanmar’s new broadcast laws will be a great opportunity and result in a surge in production, but it also means new and current broadcasters will need to get up to speed quickly on the latest technologies to compete,” explained Dennis Breckenridge, managing director, Advanced Broadcast Solutions – Asia. “Our Broadcast Technology Conference has been designed to provide information about workflows, infrastructures, and a number of products from some of the industry’s top manufacturers.”
