Today’s Indonesia Team
Former Metro TV anchor Randy Salim joins The Indonesia Channel’s weekday newscast Today’s Indonesia. He most recently was based in Kuala Lumpur with Bloomberg TV.
“It’s where I’ve always wanted to be,” said Salim, a Jakarta native who spent seven years with the World Bank before moving to Malaysia. “And the opportunity to be part of Indonesia’s first global English channel is exciting.”
Salim will also have the role of Managing Editor, helping shape the channel’s daily news coverage along with news specials. He will co-anchor Today’s Indonesia with Louisa Kusnandar.
“Randy’s heart has always been in news and in Indonesia. We’re very happy to have him join us,” said Dalton Tanonaka, CEO of The Indonesia Channel.
Two other appointments were announced. Prisma Kinanti has been promoted to business Anchor, and former Miss Indonesia 2010 Asyifa Latief will round out the team as Weather Anchor.
