Signalling its commitment to the television market, the UK broadcaster and production company, under Jacoby’s leadership, has created this new position to further cultivate ITV Studios as a leading content producer in Australia.
Over his 30-year television career, Ulm has developed and produced content for all Australian free-to-air networks, subscription television, UK broadcasters as well as U.S. networks overseeing factual, entertainment, reality, and lifestyle productions. Ulm most recently was Head of Factual Entertainment at WTFN where he was executive producer of The Living Room and Bondi Vet. In recent years he has developed and produced Keeping Up With The Joneses, Bollywood Star and Tony Robinson Explores Australia.
“Ben is unquestionably one of the best in the business and he will play a pivotal role in the next phase of growth of ITV Studios Australia,” said Anita Jacoby, ITV Studios Australia Managing Director.
Jacoby added, “He is a first-class content producer along with being one of the nicest blokes in the industry.”
Ulm will work closely alongside Jacoby to grow the content business with all networks in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. As Head of Content he will oversee, and work with all genre heads, bringing his wealth of experience and creativity to all current productions and new commissions.
