Tokyo – Each year, viewers cast their votes for Viewers’ Choice” to choose programmes they want to view again out of those broadcast on NHK WORLD TV, NHK’s international TV broadcast. The series returns in 2013 and top-ranking programmes will be rebroadcast at the end of the year.
This year, a total of 60 episodes have been nominated out of those broadcast on NHK WORLD TV from January 1st to November 4th. Voting from Japan and abroad is open until December 11th on the special page on NHK WORLD ONLINE website. The interim results have already been uploaded and the final results will be announced on December 18th.
Viewer’s Choice was very popular last year with close to 10,000 votes cast from around the world including the United States, Indonesia and Brazil. Music program “J-MELO” as well as “BEGIN Japanology” featuring Japanese culture were chosen as top-ranking programmes.
