Blakeway Productions has won a direct commission from China’s state broadcaster CCTV2 to produce The Secrets of Branding, (8 x 50’) a documentary series which takes an in-depth look at the stories behind some of the world’s leading brands. BBC Worldwide is the global distributor.
The Secrets of Branding features over thirty of the world’s top brands, including Gucci, Disney, Burberry, Lamborghini and Dyson, and reveals the key components for building a global brand. Blakeway Productions was granted exclusive behind-the-scenes access to many of the brands featured. The series includes interviews with globally-recognised leading executives behind the companies’ accomplishments, such as inventor James Dyson,Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz and former Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts, who is credited with reviving the fortunes of the British fashion house.
The series gives a real insight into the world of retail, motoring, fashion, technology and the drinks brands, sharing their secrets of persistence during success and times of failure, as well as exploring how big businesses work with governments, flourish in overseas markets and weather the changing economic climate.

The Secrets of Branding was commissioned by Deputy Director Mr. Li Yong at CCTV, with Fiona Stourton (Executive Producer), Joanna Bartholomew and Matt Hill (Series Producers) for Blakeway.
