Singapore – Universal Networks International (UNI) has made three key appointments to the Asia Pacific region, as the company continues to focus on the growth of its key channel brands in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The announcement was made by Christine Fellowes, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, UNI.
Fellowes commented: “Universal Networks International is at an exciting point in its growth within the Asia Pacific region and the appointments of Hannah, Shannon and Selena are integral to our continued success. Each brings a wealth of experience, regional knowledge and expertise that will complement our existing teams, helping to build upon current strategies and drive new ones.”
Shannon Most is appointed Marketing Director, Australia & New Zealand. Based in Sydney he is responsible for leading marketing efforts across all UNI’s channel brands in both Australia and New Zealand. Most joins UNI from TV1 and SF, where he was Head of Marketing overseeing the Marketing and Ad Sales functions for the channels – developing new advertising solutions, leading the SF rebrand and managing all digital and social assets. Before this, Most was London-based with Disney helping to build the Disney Channel internationally.
Selena Crowley, Programming Director, Australia & New Zealand will be based in Sydney, commencing her role in late October. Crowley will be responsible for leading content acquisitions and promoting localisation across the channel brands. Previously, Crowley was Director of Programming and Acquisitions at TV1 and SCI FI (now SF), managing drama production for the channels. With a rich background in programming, having held various roles at SBS TV, The Comedy Channel, Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA) and Australia Film Commission (now Screen Australia), she also co-created TV1 comedy Stupid Stupid Man.
Beginning October 16, 2013, Hannah Deeth, Marketing Director, South East Asia will be based in Singapore, responsible for driving marketing campaigns across the channel brands. Deeth was most recently based in London and Head of Platform Marketing, Entertainment Content at BSkyB, overseeing the strategic delivery of brand campaigns, media partnerships and affiliate relationships. Prior to this she held various other marketing roles within BSkyB, Sydney Opera House and, earlier in her career, at the BBC in London.
