Singapore – M1 Limited (M1) has announced the launch of MiBox, a new internet TV service that offers video-on-demand (VOD) entertainment and educational titles, games, e-books and apps. The service comes bundled with an Android set-top box and a selection of free dramas, variety shows and other content.
Content offered will include movies and music videos from Viki, music concerts, Korean variety shows and news content on-demand from Channel NewsAsia and AsiaOne. MiBox also offers 46 Chinese TV channels from KyLinTV, including the popular CCTV4 Asia, Dragon TV HD, ZTV International HD and Hunan TV HD channels. MiBox also offers documentaries like Corey’s Wild World and celebrity chef Tommy Sugiarto’s Spice Islands cooking series.
Customers can access MiBox’s library of 18,000 video-on-demand titles, 116 TV channels, 1,200 e-books and 370 apps by connecting the set-top box, which comes with a parental control feature, to their television set via a HDMI cable.
