London – Belinda Menendez, President, International Television Distribution and Universal Networks International, announced that Satpal Brainch has been appointed Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Universal Networks International, effective May 8 Reporting to Menendez, Brainch will be responsible for the overall business strategy of Universal Networks International, with oversight of affiliate sales, ad sales, programming and strategic operations across NBCUniversal’s channels portfolio in support of UNI channels growth.
Brainch will relocate from Singapore to London, having previously held the position of President and Managing Director of CNBC International, responsible for managing CNBC’s assets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and the Asia Pacific region since December 2011.
Concurrently, Duccio Donati has been appointed to the newly created role of Executive Vice President, E! and Style, effective July 2013. In this role, Donati will lead the E! and Style international channels with a focus on operations, increased localisation, production, branding, acquisitions and digital products in support of NBCUniversal’s international channel growth strategy. Donati will relocate from London to Los Angeles, having previously held the role of EVP Universal Networks International, responsible for all commercial aspects of the international networks since September 2011.
Replacing Brainch is KC Sullivan, who has been appointed President & Managing Director, CNBC International, effective 8 May 2013. Sullivan will report to CNBC’s global President & CEO, Mark Hoffman. Sullivan will lead the CNBC International business operations across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa and will be based in London. He joined CNBC in August 2009 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer responsible for leading the finance operation globally for CNBC.
