Miami – A+E Networks Latin America, a joint venture of A+E Networks and Ole Communications, has announced the promotion of Eddy Ruiz to President and General Manager of A+E Networks Latin America.

In his role, Ruiz will continue to be responsible for the joint venture’s Latin America networks, A&E, HISTORY and BIO, and will lead the joint venture’s new growth initiatives for both established brands and other brands; manage the explosive growth of new technologies and the expansion of Brazilian operations. 

A+E Networks Latin America has been the fastest growing cable group in the region for five consecutive years. HISTORY just wrapped its best year ever as the number three pan-regional cable network, and A&E delivered 33% growth pan-regionally last year, jumping 10 spots in major markets.   

Prior to joining A+E Networks Latin America, Ruiz was Senior Vice President & General Manager of HBO Latin America Advertising Services, the pan-regional sales representative for A&E, HISTORY and The Warner Channel.
