New York, New York, and Shanghai, China – Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organisation behind Sesame Street and Sesame Street’s Big Bird Looks at the World which airs daily on Haha and Toonmax channels in China, has named CLICK! Licensing Asia as its agent for China. CLICK! will oversee Sesame Street licensing and retail activities in the market.
With offices in all key markets in Southeast Asia and Greater China, CLICK!, founded by Marilu Magsaysay Corpus, is comprised of local personnel with expertise in their respective markets. Sesame Street is the very first brand that CLICK! represented and the company remains committed to continue growing Sesame Workshop in Southeast Asia and China.
“Having worked with CLICK! in other markets, we are confident of their ability to create a full-scale licensing programme featuring a wide range of Sesame Street products and retail promotions,” said Maura Regan, Sesame Workshop’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Consumer Products. “As the Workshop continues to build and strengthen its presence in China, we look forward to working with a team as passionate and committed as we are in producing quality experiences that extend the laughter and learning of Sesame Street to our fans.”
Sesame Workshop puts the proceeds from sales of Sesame Street products, both internationally and domestically, back into its educational projects for children around the world.
