While ABC Commercial, ACTF, Beyond, and Flame Distribution are not new entrants to ATF, the four distributors have decided to join forces to form the first Australia Pavilion at the annual market held in Singapore this year.
“The Australian Pavilion came about quite organically and through the spirit of co-operation and camaraderie between the companies involved. At the last ATF, the four distributors decided we would like to form a pavilion which made it more efficient for both the distributors and clients to maximise time and business at the ATF. We hope this will offer a better experience all round for our clients,” said Joanne Azzopardi, Vice President, International Sales Australasia, Beyond.
Natalie Lawley, Manager of Content Sales at ABC Commercial said: “The Australian Pavilion was formed to provide a more efficient client experience for buyers, and also to support the profile of blue chip content from Australia. Together, through the Australian Pavilion, we are able to provide a consolidated platform to showcase our high calibre of content and provide a sustainable way for companies to attend ATF. This is a very exciting development for all involved and we anticipate it will be a huge success.”

Israeli content distributor, Keshet International, will debut at the ATF this year. Keshet’s catalogue are provided by its in house productions and independent producers spanning across genres such as entertainment, reality, drama, factual, news and current affairs. The Israeli media company, formerly known as Keshet Formats, will bring scripted and non-scripted formats to ATF including a recently acquired docu-comedy format, Dear Neighbours, Help Our Daughter Find Love.
Keshet’s rise to fame in the distribution world came about when its scripted format, Prisoners of War, was adapted as Showtime’s Emmy-winning Homeland. Homeland received instant ratings success and rave reviews when it premiered on Showtime in October 2011.
“We’re looking to develop close relations with Asian TV channels and producers in order to get our formats produced in the region. Keshet has been very successful in Europe and the US and it is only natural for us to enter the fast growing Asian market. The equation for a successful show is: great format, strong broadcaster and talented local creator/ producer. Our aim is to implement this formula in as many markets as possible,” said Alon Shtruzman, Managing Director, Keshet International.
