New York – Sally Habbershaw has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President, International Programming, Production & Operations.
Based in A+E Networks’ New York headquarters, Habbershaw reports to Christian Murphy, Sr. Vice President International Programming & Marketing. Habbershaw manages the international programming, research and operations teams, and oversees A+E Networks programme catalogue. Working alongside A+E Networks Channel Partners around the globe, Sally will lead a team to drive ratings success and facilitate the launch of new channel brands.
A+E Networks channel brands include HISTORY, A&E, Lifetime, BIO, Crime & Investigation Network, and Military History.
“A+E Networks has experienced substantial growth in recent years across all lines of distribution from channel launches to content distribution,” said Murphy. “We are poised to continue the roll out of Lifetime globally, and wanted to further strengthen our experienced programming team. With her international background in programming, scheduling and acquisitions, Sally is the perfect fit for this role, and we are thrilled to have her join the staff.”
Prior to this, Habbershaw was Vice President of Acquisitions, Scheduling and Promotions of AMC Networks at Sundance and WE Global and oversaw programming, scheduling and operations across all international channels. Habbershaw had also worked for Viacom as Director of Development for VH1 in the US, and as Vice President & General Manager of VH1 UK in London.
