Los Angeles – CBS Studios International’s CSI franchise has swept the nominations for the “Drama TV Series” category at the 7th Annual International Audience Awards, which will be presented at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival on June 14.
The International TV Audience Awards rewards the programmes that gathered the highest number of viewers worldwide in 2011 across five continents in three categories: “Drama TV Series,” “Comedy TV Series,” and “Telenovelas / Soap Operas.” The nominees were pre-selected among the fifteen best performing foreign fiction programmes in 65 countries, numbering almost 3 billion potential viewers.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and its spinoff series – CSI: Miami and CSI: NY – are a global television franchise with all three series licensed in more than 200 markets. The three CSI series are produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and distributed internationally by CBS Studios International.
