GMA Worldwide, Inc. (GWI), the content acquisition and distribution subsidiary of Philippine multimedia company GMA Network, Inc. (GMA), recently signed a three-year output deal with Fox International Channels (FIC) to air its content in Hong Kong. The deal comprises a minimum of 350 hours worth of locally produced programmes and 25 feature films for airing through FIC’s cable channels this year. Among the GMA productions delivered via FIC’s Philippine feed include such fantasy series as Encantadia, and Darna; Filipino television adaptation of dramas like Stairway To Heaven; and news and public affairs programmes Wish Ko Lang and Pinoy Meets World.
