Dulce Lim Chen, Vice President, Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) Asia Pacific, passed away suddenly on Wednesday in Hong Kong. Lim Chen had been in the job since February 2008 and was responsible for CNE’s various licensing businesses, including merchandise, publishing, home video products and interactive games as well as promotions and events in 14 countries across the region. “Dulce will be remembered as a visionary and dynamic leader who inspired everyone with her passion, talent and generous heart. She will be greatly missed by all at Turner, in Asia and beyond,” said Steve Marcopoto, President, Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Turner, Lim Chen was Vice President, Business Development, Sesame Workshop APAC, overseeing the planning and execution of the Sesame Street English strategy in the region. She also spent nine years at Walt Disney Company heading the Asia Pacific publishing business. Lim Chen’s cause of death was not disclosed.
