Tokyo – Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, production company Bang Singapore and Japanese public broadcaster NHK, are co-producing a documentary that examines how Japan is recovering from the March 11 natural disaster. The programme follows Japanese Hollywood actor Ken Watanabe, as he witnesses the recovery taking place in the communities and areas affected by the earthquake and resulting tsunami that devastated Japan in 2011. An international co-production, the creative process included the use of a Japanese director, cameraman and editor together with an international executive production team. The documentary will make its theatrical premiere at this year’s World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. It is also scheduled to premiere in Japan and other international markets in March.
