Paris – Marathon Media, a Zodiak Kids company, has signed a deal with Singapore animation studio Scrawl, to co-produce Star Princess (working title), an animated series developed in partnership with France Télévisions and Disney Channel France. Both companies have committed to two seasons of 26 half-hour shows, for a total of 52 episodes. Vincent Chalvon Demersay, CEO of Marathon Media, said, “Coproducing Star Princess with Scrawl is a new demonstration of our bridge-building strategy with the region.” The series features three alien princesses posing as musical performers to cover their identity and their mission: to save their endangered planet. Star Princess will go into production in the last quarter of 2012.
