Sydney-based Sticky Pictures has been named Children’s Television Producer of the Year at the 2011 Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA) Independent Producers awards in Sydney. This year, the Australian production company co-produced with The Jim Henson Company and Tiger Aspect Productions, the LIVE action children’s sitcom Me & My Monsters, about a family who discovers that there are three monsters living in their basement, and animated series the Dukes of Broxstonia, revolving around three teens in a band. The SPAA Independent Producer Awards, established in 2001, are awarded to SPAA members who have produced an outstanding body of work that has contributed to the advancement of the independent production industry.
