London – FremantleMedia today announced that its Asia CEO Patrick Schult has resigned. Schult intends to leave the company later this year after 24 years with the firm. He is keen to pursue new interests and a different direction in his career. Said Schult, “This has been a very difficult decision given all the wonderful people at FremantleMedia I have worked with over the years. The media industry in Asia is changing in profound ways and I look forward to playing a part in its future development.” Schult joined Grundy Television in Australia in 1987 and has gone on to hold a variety of senior roles across Asia, South Africa, and Southern Europe. He assumed the post of Director of Operations for Asia in 2004, from which he was promoted to CEO two years later and has been at the forefront of the Asian business since.
