Sydney – The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand announced Haydn Arndt has been appointed general manager, Disney Media Distribution. Arndt will be responsible for managing sales and distribution of Disney/ABC Television Group and The Walt Disney Studios content, and Disney Channels distribution, in these markets, from February 28. Arndt will be tasked with developing and executing the sales strategy of TWDC television and studios content across all media platforms (free to air, digital terrestrial and subscription television; mobile; and online) in Australia and New Zealand, building and cultivating relationships with all media partners, identifying and implementing revenue growth opportunities, and exploring new business models across all possible platforms. Arndt spent four years as senior vice president of international television sales for NBC Universal, Asia-Pacific. Prior to that, he worked for Walt Disney International Television, United Kingdom and Ireland, in both sales and finance from 1998 to 2005.
