Tokyo – MP & Silva, an international sports marketing and media company, and Japanese sports broadcaster, J SPORTS Broadcasting Corporation, have signed a partnership agreement that will see MP & Silva become the broadcaster’s acquisition partner for international sports content. Under the strategic tie-up, J SPORTS will initially acquire the broadcast rights for the English Premier League and French Ligue 1 in Japan from MP & Silva. The international sports media agency is already advising J SPORTS on the acquisition of other relevant international sports programming. J SPORTS operates four premium sports channels in Japan, with penetration into over 7,612,000 households, and has begun showing English Premier League and Ligue 1 matches acquired from MP & Silva.
