Hong Kong – Hong Kong Cable Television Limited (CABLE TV) and Disney Media Distribution jointly announced that they have entered into a distribution agreement to launch a Disney Channel Pack on CABLE TV. The Disney Channel Pack, comprising the renowned Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney Channel, was launched on 15 July 2010, on Channel 135 and Channel 136 respectively. Existing CABLE TV subscribers will enjoy free viewing of the two channels from July 15 to July 29. Disney Channel offers an unparalleled blend of quality Disney entertainment and originally produced programs that kids love, parents trust and families enjoy. This includes Disney’s celebrated feature films and series, as well as specials, sitcoms, family dramas, live action adventure stories and Disney Channel original movies. The dedicated Hong Kong Disney Channel integrates into the Hong Kong’s unique culture and caters to local tastes and needs. Playhouse Disney Channel is the first preschool-learning channel in Asia specially designed for kids aged two to five, their parents and caregivers. Based on the Whole Child Curriculum, the commercial-free service combines award-winning preschool shows with customized short-form programming which engage and stimulate preschoolers’ imagination and learning in a fun and creative environment.
