Hong Kong/Islamabad – PCCW Global Limited, a subsidiary of Hong Kong’s premier telecommunications provider, PCCW Limited, and Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL), Pakistan’s leading national carrier, have signed a MPLS Inter-Carrier Interconnection (ICI) agreement to strengthen each other’s network coverage and service availability. PCCW Global and PTCL will cooperate to provide high quality and cost-effective global network solutions to meet the increasing demands for international connectivity. PCCW Global is PTCL’s first ICI partner for MPLS services worldwide. PCCW Global’s expertise in international connectivity will combine with PTCL’s strong regional presence to create extended coverage capability for both operators. PCCW Global will be able to provide seamless connectivity into Pakistan, and PTCL will be able to utilize PCCW Global’s infrastructure to satisfy requirements in more than 100 countries worldwide.
